Leadership Team

• Abi Misselbrook-Lovejoy

  Executive Headteacher

  Abi has an honours degree in Geography and Education and a Masters degree in Teaching with distinction. In April 2010 Abi began work at Newington Green as the Headteacher.  In 2012 Abi trained as an OFSTED inspector and completed her Professional Qualification in School Inspection.  In 2020 Abi completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Coaching. In February 2017 Abi became the Executive Head over Rotherfield Primary School and Newington Green.  In this role, Abi is accountable for the improvement of both schools.  In 2019 Abi won the Islington Headteacher of the Year award. Abi is an OFSTED inspector, and School Improvement Adviser, as well as working in her Executive Head role.

• Nia Silverwood

  Head of School

  Nia joined Rotherfield in September 2023 as the new Head of School. Nia studied History and Politics at Warwick University and then completed a Masters Degree in International Relations. She has been working in education for 17 years, with 10 of those as a senior leader. She was most recently the Deputy Head of Elmhurst Primary, a large, outstanding school in Newham, East London. In her role here she led on curriculum development, teaching and learning and assessment and these areas are where her passions lie.    Prior to this, Nia was the Hub Lead for the London North East maths hub, where she oversaw the development of maths education and maths mastery teaching across six London boroughs.   Nia (a mum of two herself) believes wholeheartedly in the power of a great education to transform lives. She wants maintain the caring, nurturing school that you love but also ensure and high-quality learning environment for the children of Rotherfield. 

• Chloe Lister

  Deputy Headteacher, DSL, Phase 2 and Maths/Science Lead

  Chloe graduated with first class honours in Drama in 2012 before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Durham University. She began her first teaching post at Newington Green in 2015 and a year later became Science Leader. As Science Leader, Chloe led the school to achieve a Primary Science Quality Mark Award in Outreach, evidencing high-quality science teaching and learning at Newington Green and demonstrating her impact in surrounding schools. For her work in Primary Science, Chloe won a Primary Science Teaching Award in 2021. In 2020, Chloe became a Maths Leader and worked with teachers across the school to further develop fluency and embed a mastery approach to Maths teaching and learning. During her time at Newington Green, she taught across all Key Stages. Following a short career break, to go travelling, Chloe joined Rotherfield in May 2023 in the role of temporary Assistant Headteacher for KS2 and Maths and Science subject leader.

• Rhian Jimenez

  Assistant Headteacher, SENCO, DSL

  Rhian studied English literature at the University of Wales Swansea and graduated in 1998 with an honours degree. She then completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education in primary teaching the following year.  In September 1999 Rhian made the move from South Wales to London where she began teaching in a 2-form entry primary school in Barking and Dagenham. During the following years Rhian worked to grow the school into a six-form entry primary school, she became lead teacher of the interim site and supported the opening of the new school building.  In September 2012 Rhian began her National Award for SENCO with the Institute of Education.  This was completed in 2013 and Rhian held the post of SENDCO until September 2019 when she took up the post of Assistant Head - Inclusion. In September 2022 in order to develop her wider knowledge Rhian became Assistant Head - Curriculum team.  After twenty-three years at the school Rhian decided it was time to move on and is delighted to be working with the children and families at Rotherfield Primary School. 

• Rosa Aers

   Assistant Headteacher 

  Rosa studied English Literature at Queen Mary University and graduated with first class honours in 2003. After working in social housing and homelessness with Southwark Council, she began teaching in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010. She moved to work in Enfield in 2012 and then to a primary school in Haringey in 2017. Rosa led English and became an Assistant Head, focusing on curriculum design and improving teaching and learning. She developed a new reading and writing curriculum at her previous school and led the Year 6 teaching team, working full-time in class alongside her leadership role. Rosa is passionate about teaching and loves providing extra-curricular opportunities, bringing fun and joy to the lives of the children.

• Emily Meadows

  Assistant Headteacher 

  Emily joined the Rotherfield community in September 2024. Emily graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Melbourne and spent part of her studies on exchange at Westminster University in London. Having relocated from Australia in 2007, she has proudly called London her home ever since. Her introduction to teaching began in Japan, where she taught English to children and discovered her passion for education. After completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with distinction at London Metropolitan University, she has been an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher. Emily is committed to furthering her own education and recently completed a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching. Emily brings valuable experience to her role as Maths Lead and strives to inspire all children to appreciate the importance of Maths. She firmly believes that the best learning happens with an emphasis on fun and exploration! Emily is dedicated to upholding the high standards of teaching and learning at Rotherfield, ensuring that every child is supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

• Sharon Rossi

  Federation Business Manager

  Sharon has over 20 years’ experience of working in Local Government in finance and social care. Sharon has a degree in Business Studies, a Diploma in School Business Management, Diploma in Leadership and Management and a Certificate in IOSH. Sharon has over 10 years’ experience of working in finance within the London Borough of Haringey and more than 6 years’ experience working as a School Business Manager within a multi-academy trust. Sharon leads on all non-teaching functions of the Federation (finance, premises, administration).
